1.00mm Pitch Single Row Right Angle Female Header Connector Horizontal PCB Mount Socket

Edge of board connections are awkward when a vertical socket forces the cable to turn ninety degrees inside a thin enclosure. This 1.00mm right angle female header brings the mating axis parallel to the board, so a flat cable or a small male header plugs in horizontally and lies against the housing wall. The result is a lower profile assembly and a shorter cable path in products where every millimetre of depth is already allocated.

At 1.00mm pitch the contact tails have very little metal to work with, so the body is moulded from PA6T and each tail is anchored through a moulded channel rather than simply pressed into the wall. That detail keeps the tails perpendicular during insertion, which is the main cause of solder joint failure in right angle fine pitch parts. Gold flash over a nickel barrier protects the contact interface, and the moulded shoulders transfer insertion load directly into the board surface.

Right angle 1.00mm headers suit products that connect sideways: a flat cable leaving a handheld terminal through the side wall, a sensor board sliding into a slot on a main board, or a small male header plugging into the edge of a display driver PCB. They are common in portable medical devices where the housing is only a few millimetres thicker than the battery, in LED strip controllers that plug into a rail, and in set top boxes where a front panel flex enters from the side. When a vertical socket would force a cable bend radius tighter than the conductor allows, this part solves the problem at the connector.

Positions from 2 to 30 are cut from continuous strip. We can mould the housing with a keying wall so the mating header can only enter one way, add board lock pegs for mechanical retention during wave soldering, and supply the part on tape for automated placement. Selective gold at 0.38 or 0.76 micron, a PA9T insulator for a second reflow pass, and a closed bottom to keep flux out of the contact cage are all available. Our engineers keep a library of mating male headers in the same pitch and will quote both halves together so the stack is dimensionally guaranteed.

Packed in anti-static bags of 2000 pieces with a desiccant sachet, five bags per export carton. Because the tails project horizontally, each bag is cushioned with a foam pad so that the contact row cannot rest on the carton floor. Cartons are printed with the CNJWY neutral label, kept under 15 kg gross and closed with tamper evident tape. Sea freight pallets are stretch wrapped and strapped against humidity, and air shipments are foam lined. Distributors can request own-brand bags, barcoded cartons and drop tested packaging. Every lot includes a dimensional report covering pitch, tail angle and body height, plus a plating thickness certificate and a RoHS declaration.
