1.27mm Pitch Triple Row Female Header Connector 3x40P High Density PCB Socket Gold Flash

One hundred and twenty contacts inside a 60mm length is the kind of density that normally forces a designer toward a high pin count board to board connector with a matching price tag. This 1.27mm triple row female header reaches the same circuit count with a through hole socket that mates with plain 1.27mm male posts. Three rows sit on a narrow 4.3mm body, so the connector consumes the board width of a much smaller part while carrying a full parallel bus.

The fine 1.27mm grid leaves very little isolation between contacts, so the insulator is moulded from PA9T with a full height wall around every cell and the contact springs are tuned to a low insertion force. Gold flash over nickel keeps the interface stable, and the through hole tails are long enough to solder reliably on 1.6mm boards without wicking flux into the contact cage.

• PA9T insulator: Holds the fine grid true through 260 C reflow and continuous 105 C operation.

Dense fine pitch sockets are used where a wide parallel bus must cross between two boards in a small enclosure. Test equipment uses them to bring a full probe array onto a single interface, medical imaging front ends use them to move multiple channel outputs to a processing board, and industrial vision systems use them between a sensor board and a frame grabber. They also serve in telecom line cards, where a 120 way control bus must reach a backplane without consuming edge length, and in instrumentation where the connector outline must stay smaller than the board it serves.

Lengths from 3 x 10 to 3 x 40 are produced from continuous strip. We can supply a matched male header from the same drawing so the mating stack is dimensionally guaranteed, add guide posts for blind mating, and mould a polarising wall for single orientation insertion. Plating options include 0.38 and 0.76 micron gold, and a PA9T or PPS insulator can be specified depending on reflow profile. Every custom part is delivered with a proposed land pattern, a 3D model and a first article inspection report before volume production begins.

Fine pitch triple row sockets are packed in anti-static trays of 500 pieces, one connector per pocket so the contact rows never touch. Trays are stacked with foam interleaves into export cartons that carry the CNJWY neutral label and the moisture sensitivity level. Cartons stay under 15 kg gross for air freight, and pallets for sea freight are stretch wrapped and strapped against container humidity. Own-brand labels and barcoded cartons are available. Each shipment includes a dimensional report on pitch and row spacing, a plating thickness certificate and a RoHS declaration, and we retain a matched sample from every lot for three years for traceability.
