1.00mm Pitch Dual Row Right Angle SMT Female Header Connector Horizontal Surface Mount Socket

Side entry connections on a reflow only line are awkward: a vertical socket forces the cable to turn inside the housing, and a through hole right angle part adds a second soldering process to an otherwise SMT assembly. This 1.00mm dual row right angle female header solves both problems by bringing the mating axis parallel to the board while keeping every termination on the surface. Two rows of up to thirty contacts fit into a body 2.5mm tall, so the connector sits inside the shadow of the tallest component on most boards.

Fine pitch right angle SMT parts fail at the tail, not at the contact. Here each tail is anchored in a moulded channel and the row is coplanarity inspected to 0.10mm, with a locating peg taking the insertion load so that mating force is not carried entirely by the solder joints. PA9T holds the body flat through reflow, and gold flash over nickel keeps the interface stable in the humid, sulphur bearing air that often surrounds enclosure seals.

• PA9T body: Stays flat through 260 C reflow and holds the fine contact cells true in service.

Right angle SMT sockets are used where a board has to accept a connection from the side rather than the top. Portable medical devices use them for sensor flex entry through a side wall, set top boxes and access controllers use them for front panel connections, and compact industrial sensors use them to bring a cable out of a sealed housing. They also appear in LED strip controllers that plug into a rail and in battery management boards where a sense harness enters horizontally under a cover.

Positions from 2 x 5 to 2 x 30 are cut from strip without tooling charges. We supply tape widths for 16mm and 24mm feeders, can mould a keying wall so the mating header enters only one way, and can add board lock tabs for mechanical retention in drop tested products. Selective gold at 0.38 micron on the mating area, a PA9T or PPS body for double sided reflow, and a mylar cap for reliable vacuum pickup on short lengths are all available. Engineering will also quote the matched male header so both halves of the stack come from one drawing.

Parts leave the line in anti-static bags or moulded trays, with the pin field protected by a foam interleaf so that no contact bears the weight of the carton above. Export cartons are printed with the CNJWY neutral label and sealed with tamper evident tape, and the gross weight stays below 15 kg for air freight. Pallet loads for ocean shipment are stretch wrapped and strapped for humidity control. Custom carton printing, own-brand reel or bag labels and barcoded cartons are available, and each shipment carries a first article dimensional sheet, a plating thickness certificate and a RoHS declaration referenced to the lot number.
