1.27mm Pitch Mezzanine Stacking Female Header Connector Dual Row 2x30P Fine Pitch PCB Socket

A mezzanine connector is judged on two numbers: how many signals it carries and how accurately it holds the gap between the boards. This 1.27mm dual row stacking socket carries sixty contacts in a 38mm body, and its moulded body height defines the board spacing so that no standoff is required. That combination of density and mechanical function is why mezzanine parts appear wherever a second board has to be added to an existing design without changing the enclosure.

The stacking height is set by the insulator, so the mould tool determines the tolerance on the gap. We hold that height to plus or minus 0.10mm and pair the socket with a male header from the same drawing, which keeps the finished stack within tolerance even when the two halves come from different production lots. Gold flash over nickel protects the contact interface, and SMT hold down tabs take the mechanical load that would otherwise be carried by the solder joints.

Mezzanine sockets are used where a second board must be added in parallel at a defined distance. Industrial controllers use them to attach communication and I O expansion boards without a backplane, medical instruments use them to separate an analogue acquisition board from a digital processing board, and handheld terminals use them to stack a display board over a main board inside a slim housing. They also serve in automotive camera modules and in battery management systems where cell measurement boards sit above a control board.

Heights of 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0mm are available from one contact system, and we quote the mating male header from the same drawing so the stack height is guaranteed. Positions from 2 x 10 to 2 x 30 carry no tooling charge. Options include guide posts for blind mating, a polarising wall, hold down tabs on one or both ends, and tape and reel packing for automated placement. For programmes that require it we supply a stack height measurement report together with the first article inspection sheet.

Parts leave the line in anti-static bags or moulded trays, with the pin field protected by a foam interleaf so that no contact bears the weight of the carton above. Export cartons are printed with the CNJWY neutral label and sealed with tamper evident tape, and the gross weight stays below 15 kg for air freight. Pallet loads for ocean shipment are stretch wrapped and strapped for humidity control. Custom carton printing, own-brand reel or bag labels and barcoded cartons are available, and each shipment carries a first article dimensional sheet, a plating thickness certificate and a RoHS declaration referenced to the lot number.
